How we choose pairings

  • We pair episodes on a single question, not whole shows.
  • We choose the strongest, most thoughtful version of each side, not the loudest.
  • We prefer shows hosted by established journalists, news organizations or credentialed experts.
  • Both sides get comparable length, format and space on the page. Clips are matched in length and always link to the full episode.
  • We label the kind of disagreement: values, disputed evidence, or mainstream versus dissenting view. We don't present fringe claims as the equal of settled science.
  • Every pairing has a short published reason, and readers can challenge it.
  • Every page cites press sources from across the spectrum.
